Two students (Anna Nuhr and Zainab Mohammadi from 7G2) wrote the following:

The original three-hour play “Hamlet” by Shakespeare was adapted by Clive Duncan to last only about one hour. Despite the shorter running-time, this version managed to capture the essence of the original tragedy, centred on revenge, doubt, and madness, in a gripping way without losing any of its depth.
Remarkably, the entire play was performed by a cast of only four actors, whose dynamic energy and quick role changes brought the story to life. Even though only a few props and nearly no costumes were used, it was easy to follow and a great experience for our students in the 7th and 8th grade. Overall, this English-language performance was a fantastic opportunity to get to know world literature firsthand.

Beitrag von Mag.
